Patchouli Hemp Soap is back! You might think this is a hippie soap, it is... but there are a lot more benefits of use than one may realize.
Hemp seed oil is one of the world's richest sources of polyunsaturated fats, including the essential fatty acids (Omega 3 and Omega 6) and GLA (gamma Linolenic acid), which make it an excellent natural emollient and moisturizer for the entire body. Use it on your hair instead of shampoo to clean, strengthen and stimulate hair growth. Patchouli oil is good for all aspects of skin but especially older skin, it helps to regulate cellular tissue, reduce inflammation and rejuvenate and smooth wrinkled skin. It can also speed healing of wounds, moisturize, break up cellulite and reduces acne and blemishes.
As far as the scent of patchouli, I find people either really like it or they don’t. The energy is grounding, calming and mood balancing. It can reduce ones appetite, have a sedative effect and encourage restful sleep. If you like its smell it may stimulate the release of pleasure hormones like serotonin and dopamine enhancing relaxation and even boosting the libido.
We use a couple different herbs to enhance the green color of the hemp seed oil in our soap but it has a smooth and creamy texture and nice lather. All of our soaps are free of sulfates, gentle on the environment and on you. Let your soap dry out on a good soap dish between uses and it will last a long time. Our soaps are hand stirred and cured the old fashion way... time. These will have cured about a moon cycle before they are ready to use.
